An introduction to apps and working with your inventory.
The Applications inventory contains all apps used within your organization, and details about them.

Exploring the inventory

To search for apps by name, enter any part of the app's name in the search bar and press enter.
Search is not case sensitive. It will search within the apps displayed by the filters. If you don't initially find an app, try clearing any filters to expand your search range.

Inventory views

By default, the Applications inventory is filtered to Business apps, which excludes home-use apps and any non-functional websites that have been identified.
To select from other pre-defined views, such as apps for which an integration is not enabled or unidentified apps, use the dropdown list at the top right of the page. For more information about the default views and the action you may want to take based on them, see Views.
The views menu on the Applications inventory.
Once you have selected a view, you can further refine the list using filters and change how the information is presented by adding columns and changing the sort order, as described below.
To save the settings so that you can load the same view again in future, expand the views dropdown and select Save view. Enter a name for the view and specify whether it is available to all users of your system or restricted to your user account.
To share a link to a saved view, expand the views dropdown and select Manage views. Select the relevant view and click Actions > Copy link. This is useful if you want colleagues to be able to load the view without having to select it first.

To filter the inventory by specific criteria, click More filters.
The filter drawer displays some common fields to filter against. To find more fields to filter on, scroll down in the drawer to the Add filter section, and search for a field to filter on. Once selected, the field will then be displayed in the drawer.
When you have made the filter selections, click Apply. The inventory will update to show apps meeting those criteria, and the applied filters will be listed above.
When multiple filters are set, apps shown meet all filter criteria.

Advanced filters

Advanced filters allow you to form specific filter expressions using any operators. For example, you could exclude all apps from a particular category.
Scroll down in the filter drawer to Advanced filters and click Add advanced filter. In the dialog displayed, enter an expression, and click OK.

Choose columns

To change the columns displayed, click the context menu (
) and select Choose columns. A drawer is shown, listing the displayed columns.
In the Add a column field, search and select a field name to display as a column.
Drag to reorder a column; click x to remove a column. Once finished, click Apply. The inventory will be shown with the chosen columns.

To sort by a particular column in the inventory, click on the column header:
  • The first click will sort ascending.
  • The second click will sort descending.
  • A third click will clear the sort.
Sortable columns will be highlighted when you hover over the column header. When a sort is applied to a column, the column header is underlined.
Column sort order is not recorded as part of a saved view.
